Dr. Samara earned his medical degree from the University of Milan Faculty of Medicine and has spent decades in clinical practice. A San Diego internist and geriatrician, he now focuses on aesthetic medicine at his own practice.
As lead instructor for the H-Shot certification, Dr. Samara teaches the standardized protocol, from patient selection and safety through injection technique.

Kerry Brophy, RN

Kerry Brophy is a registered nurse with more than 10 years of acute and progressive care experience across ICU step-down, telemetry, and med-surg units, along with IV infusion therapy. A BSN graduate of the University of Rhode Island, she is BLS and ACLS certified and a multiple-time Guardian Angel Award recipient for patient advocacy at Sharp HealthCare.
As a course instructor, Kerry brings the nursing and patient-care perspective to the certification, drawing on her background in IV infusion, sterile technique, and patient assessment.
